I felt very much supported and the way in which I was taught suited me. For example, it
was relaxed in that we were comfortable, but the teaching was professional. The space
feels safe, and it never felt like a chore, even when sometimes the work was challenging.
After each session, I’d always feel ‘back on track’ and on a high from learning and being
around such amazing people. The way the centre operates is a joy to be a part of and I
feel lucky that I’m able to experience it. College was fine, but the centre is wonderful.
The tutors have honestly been fantastic, and I look forward to every week. Not once have
I been bored, and I love how the day is broken up. It’s the highlight of my week coming to
Bamboo.

I didn't go in blind as my close friend had already completed Level 2 and Level 3 at Bamboo Grove yet the course still exceeded my expectations x 100. I think it's structured very cleverly combining a super-wide range of skills and assignments. This meant that as a student, I could learn via many different avenues and yet none of it felt too "schooly". It's a GREAT foundation for both personal and professional development and I really appreciate how much it encouraged me to explore myself.
I think the course is very comprehensive. We completed a full range of assignments and activities (vision board, trees etc) which kept it interesting and is great for different learning styles. We got an excellent overview of each of the learning objectives as well as detail on theories and modalities - I feel very well prepared to go on to level three now.
The course has been incredible and I feel I’ve grown so much more in my self awareness then I ever thought I would. I also feel that the skills practice have been an amazing way for me to grow in confidence and with how supportive the group has been and how supportive

I found the course to be enormously informative and rewarding. The sessions were well
paced and covered enough each week to drive our learning, while not feeling overwhelming. I enjoyed the sessions and have grown my self-awareness well beyond
anything I could have ever predicted. The toolkit I have started to build during my learning has already paid dividends in my current professional life, and I believe that the skills taught would be a benefit to anyone, regardless of if they wish to be a counsellor or not.
I found the course to be incredibly eye opening in terms of learning about myself and my own self awareness as well as how other people interact with each other and what makes them react in the way that they do. I really enjoyed learning about using the senses to emphatically understand others and find myself frequently using this to demonstrate
understanding.
